This rural property is designed to provide excitement and wonderment in an extravagant sequence of spaces that wrap around the existing residence.
Status: Concept Design
The primary focus of use was on entertainment for the many large events that the client hosts for his guests.
The property is divided into a variety of main spaces, with many amenities and features:
A new large stone barn looks onto the expanded pond, with the waterfall and gazebo providing a stunning backdrop. Luxurious, classical finishes and crystal chandeliers contrast against the warm, earthy materials of the barn.
Extensive herb borders, vegetable terraces, chicken coop, glass conservatory, and potting shed provide fresh produce for catering parties and for the client to give as gifts to guests.
A seating cluster by the corner of the pool is framed by formal hedges and trees to create an outdoor living room.
The entrance to the walled garden is marked by a massive timber gate, lush planting, and formal clipped hedges. Beyond it is the entrance courtyard and formal grid planting of trees.
The walled garden contains many separate rooms, each with a different function. A fire bowl distinguishes this space as a place for intimate gatherings with small groups of friends and family.
Also tucked away within the walled garden is a private courtyard garden with an oversized hammock among lush plantings for an idyllic getaway.
