The client’s goal was to provide an unparalleled rental offering with an uncharacteristically high-end building, purposes-built with the foresight of Toronto’s increasingly-competitive and diversifying real estate market.

In the same vein, the landscape was tailored to be adaptable and timeless, while still evoking the same effortless upscale quality. The amenity terraces, surrounding streetscape, and a drivethrough drop-off all reinforce this enduring appeal.
The main amenity terrace is centred around a large planter, anchored by two stately beech trees. Framed by the surrounding concrete jungle, the verdant island becomes the focal point and a welcome backdrop for cosy seating groups.
A smaller terrace is located on the opposite side of the tower with additional dining and lounge spaces that lead out from interior party rooms.
A shade structure with retractable awnings provides adaptability to respond to the microclimate of the terrace, which can change from direct sunlight to shade rapidly due to the surrounding towers. The awnings are also waterproof for protection against light showers.
Sectional conventional lounge furniture is balanced with sculptural and whimsical pieces throughout the graciously-proportioned spaces.
BBQs and dining areas are spread out strategically throughout the terraces to optimize the number of groups and people who can enjoy the terrace.
Instead of sequestering BBQs to individual dining sets, the communal location of the outdoor kitchens encourages sharing and consecutive use by different groups. This maximizes the BBQs’ otherwise limited availability during desirable patio seasons.
The terrace boasts one of the first rooftop dog runs in the city to directly appeal to the city’s increasing number of dog owners.
Artificial boulders, agility equipment, and fake fire hydrants give pets elements for both business and play. The otherwise narrow terrace is transformed into a highly valuable and convenient asset for both the client and tenants.
